KILLINGS: Buhari, are you for Nigerians or not?, Okogie asks Following the recent killings in Jos and those preceding it, a former Lagos Catholic Church Archbishop, Cardinal Anthony Olubunmi Okogie, has asked if President Muhammadu Buhari is for Nigeria or not. He called on Buhari to consider the option of honourably resigning his position as president having failed for more than three years to stop killings by armed Fulani herdsmen and others. The cleric stated this in an open letter to Buhari he entitled, “Dear Mr. President, call a spade a spade,” and made available to newsmen on Friday. “Dear Mr. President, we must call a spade a spade. You were elected to protect the land and its people but neither is being protected under your watch. You therefore have the most important decision of your career to make. And that decision is this: Are you for Nigerians or not?” he said. On killings under President Buhari government he said, “The number (of Nigerians) killed under your
MEDIA BLACKOUT: Muslims in Nigeria rounded Igbo’s in North at gunpoint, put them in trucks and drive them into the scorching hot desert with no water and leave them to die     Igbo’s rounded up hundreds at a time, crammed into trucks, then dropped in the desert Nigeria has abandoned more than 13,000 igbo in the Sahara Desert over the past 14 months, including pregnant women and children, expelling them without food or water and forcing them to walk, sometimes at gunpoint, under a blistering sun. Some never make it out alive. The expelled Igbo’s can be seen coming over the horizon by the hundreds, appearing at first as specks in the distance under temperatures of up to 48 C. In South East, where the majority head, the lucky ones limp across a desolate 15-kilometre no-man’s-land to the border village of Assamaka. Others wander for days before a UN rescue squad can find them. Untold numbers perish; nearly all of the more than two dozen survivors interviewed by The Associate

Diogu Leads D'Tigers to gallant win at FIBA World Cup Qualifiers All the D'Tigers needed was back to back 3 pointers from their leader and captain Ike Diogu to settle their nerves in front of a boisterous home crowd at the National Stadium in Lagos and it was all Nigeria needed till the final buzzer to coast home with the win. Diogu proved vital yet again to the D'Tigers and their quest to make the FIBA Basketball World Cup  holding in China next year, thanks to his game high 24 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists with Obi Emegano adding 15 points and 12 points each from debutants Tosin Mehinti and Jordan Nwora helped Nigeria to a comfortable 109-66 points victory over Uganda at the 2nd window of the FIBA 2019 African World Cup qualifiers in Lagos. The Alex Nwora led side ran up with a comfortable 16 points lead at halftime thanks to a robust bench display which outscored Uganda 25 - 5 before finishing the night 45-11 in the end (Bench

BE A GOOD EXAMPKE

© *TITLE* - *BE A GOOD EXAMPLE* © *DATE* - *29-06-2018* Setting an example is the only means of influencing others One of the best ways we influence others is by our own actions. Who we are, speaks much more loudly than what we say. Don’t think that people aren’t watching you. They are, and they’re registering everything about you consciously and unconsciously, In one way or the other, you are a role model to someone so you need to be a good type, People are not only watching you carefully from afar but also monitoring your action. The way you act, speak and the opinions you express will influence their values, Don't mislead others through your action, be a good role model. *BE WISE* *HAPPY WEEKEND TO YOU👋🏿* *KELECHI VICTOR MAXIMILIAN ONU*

Magnificent New Image Of Batman From Justice League Emerges

Image
As I’m sure most of you are aware, following his departure from the DCEU, whether he was relieved or withdrew voluntarily, Zack Snyder has been a one-man wrecking crew when it comes to purging his now obsolete vision. Simply put, the Saturn Award winner has been unstoppable on Vero, his go-to social media platform for purification, which he’s essentially been attempting to achieve ever since Justice League began to underwhelm at the ticket booth. As of late, however, Snyder’s seen storyboard artist Jay Oliva – who’s been a veritable treasure trove of DCEU minutia, mind you – and  Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice  cinematographer Larry Fong assist with some of the heavy lifting. Regardless, while I’ve personally recently concluded – his intention with the unpolished footage, notwithstanding – that no good can come from the completion of his fabled Snyder cut of  Justice League  (which shall live in infamy, forever tethered to his name), that’s not to say the theatrical edi

Scoring against Argentina and outshining Messi is easy for 'Lionel Musa'

Image
Ahmed Musa is ready to inspire Nigeria to victory over Argentina in their final World Cup group game, having apparently been described as "Lionel Musa" in South America. The 25-year-old scored both goals in the 2-0 win over Iceland in Volgograd on Friday, which lifted Nigeria into second in Group D. The result also means Argentina's hopes of reaching the last 16 are still alive, despite their damaging 3-0 loss to Croatia, with Jorge Sampaoli's side knowing that a win over Nigeria in St Petersburg on Tuesday could be enough to see them through. Musa's double took him to four goals at the World Cup for his country, making him their top scorer at international football's showpiece event, and has apparently led to Argentina fans dubbing him "Lionel Musa" in thanks for him keeping their side alive in Russia. The Leicester City man found the nickname amusing when speaking to the media after the win over Iceland, and warned the real Messi th

Ahead of their make or break World Cup showdown versus Iceland, the football icon spent some time with the Super Eagles African football great, Nwankwo Kanu has attempted to raise the spirits of the Super Eagles ahead of Friday’s game versus Iceland. The team would be hoping to bounce back to winning ways against the World Cup debutants after crumbling 2-0 to Croatia. The former Arsenal star interacted with Gernot Rohr’s team and happily posed for pictures with them and also some of the fans present to demonstrate his support for the team. “I came to do my part and bring up the spirit of our team and encourage them at Super Eagles hotel for some morale boosting effect ahead of Iceland game!,” he tweeted. A win for the Super Eagles at Volgograd Arena, Volgograd will boost their chances of reaching the knockout phase. Kanu featured for Nigeria at the 1998, 2002 and the 2010 editions of the Fifa World Cups before drawing the curtain on his glittering career.
